*On behalf of my brother* My brother has applied for his student visa for Jan intake. College has begun but he is still waiting for his visa, it has been 5 months now. We have been calling IRCC for days but his application is still under background verification as per the automated system. There has been no change in status since months. We have tried to speak to an agent but cannot get one on the phone. The college has given him until Jan 20th to differ to May intake. Should my brother differ or should he cancel his application and re-apply? I would really appreciate your time and expert opinion in this matter. Please do help.
