Selecting 'yes' to be considered by all provinces in your Express Entry (EE) profile is not the same as actually applying to each province — some Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) still require their own separate application or Expression of Interest (EOI).
- Some provinces require you to apply directly on their own portal or by email, in addition to your EE profile settings. Examples mentioned by the group include Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, and Quebec, plus specific regional streams (e.g., a Morden, Manitoba stream that required a form sent by email with supporting documents).
- Don't rely only on the 'all provinces' toggle in your EE profile. One group member described missing a Nova Scotia PNP round specifically because they had only selected 'all provinces' and not also individually selected each province of interest — after correcting this by selecting provinces individually as well as 'all provinces,' they were picked up in the next round.
- Practical approach: in your EE profile, select both 'all provinces' and each individual province you're interested in, and separately check each target province's own PNP website to see if they require a direct EOI or application beyond your EE profile settings — requirements vary by province and can change.
Because each province runs its own program with its own process, treat your EE profile settings as a baseline, not a substitute for checking and completing each province's specific application requirements.
