If you receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) — for example under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Tech draw — you have a strict 45-day window to act.
- Submit your full application within 45 days of the NOI date. This is a hard deadline, not a soft guideline.
- Understand that accepting or declining the nomination happens later, only once your application has actually been approved — you don't need to formally 'accept' anything at the NOI stage itself, just get your application in on time.
- If you miss the 45-day window, the NOI is automatically declined and you lose that opportunity — there's no grace period reported, so treat the deadline as firm and start gathering documents as soon as you get the NOI.
