If you have a past visa refusal (from Canada or another country) and you've disclosed it fully in your PR application — including attaching the refusal letter and explaining the circumstances — group members were reassuring that this alone doesn't necessarily add processing delay.
What group members advised:- Full disclosure with supporting documents is the right move. Attaching the refusal letter and explaining the reason (and that you were later approved) is exactly what's expected; there's no indication this by itself changes your timeline.
- There's no reliable way to predict security-check duration from a single case. Even among applicants with the same Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) date, processing times vary for reasons that aren't visible to applicants — so seeing others with your AOR date get approved first isn't a sign that something is wrong with your file.
Bottom line: disclose everything honestly and thoroughly, but don't read too much into comparing your timeline against others in the same AOR cohort.
