##URGENT# Hello Everyone, Background I'm 35 years old and on a ICT Visa. Work permit valid till March 2025. Current CRS score with ICT Job offer is 538. CRS score without ICT Job offer: 488 Question: My employer has give a notice of termination and only have 5 days left to leave the company. Next draw I will get hopefully an ITA But employer is saying they can extend my last working day for other 3 months but will not give new job offer when I receive my ITA. What should I do? Should I take extension of 3 months or Convert to open work permit on my spouse Visa (I have this option) and leave the company next week. Thanks in advance.

Laid off on an ICT work permit before your ITA: what happens to job-offer CRS points
There is no way you can convert close to open work permit. However, you can legally stay in Canada till your work permit expires and you can try to find a new job with LMIA. That being said, you can’t legally claim job offer points at this moment because you have to submit a letter from your current employer saying they will keep you on a job for a year after you have your PR. But if you get a new job with LMIA then you can claim points.
You are not eligible for job offer points as per rules employer give you a new job offer for one year after becoming PR.
If this is the case, you can’t convert your visa to open since your spouse is on spousal open work permit.
If your Work Permit is valid till March 2025, you can legally stay in Canada but cannot work as per rule.
