(Original work permit was open) My pgwp expiring soon and I have applied for work permit extension which means I am on maintained status. Your LMIA already approved? I dont understand the full story. Have you applied 2 Work permit ( 1 for Closed work Permit and another for PGWP extension)? Or you just applied only PGWP extension and waiting for LMIA letter approval? After LMIA approved, you can apply closed work permit. If you applied only PGWP extension then you can work continue untill the decision come.
Avneet Kaur looks true Did u applied for the fake pgwp extension to buy time i think in that case you can work but if you applied for just closed work permit i am not sure what the conditions will be because you are transitioning to a different permit
you can keep working for now. if you receive a rejection you have to stop working. If your lmia work permit gets approved and your work permit gets converted to a closed one you would have to change employers.
I think on applied status you cant work after expiry Unless you have approved work permit And with lmia you will have closed work permit so you cant work for your current employer
Md Owaish first applied for lmia closed wp and then did fake pgwp so i can continue working. Because lmia is not approved yet so I am not working with this new emp.
Until decision comes on your application, you can work.
