My wife got an admit from Conestoga for a certificate course, and we have to pay $1500 non-refundable before 2nd April to secure the seat. The consultant is advising us to pay the first semester's fees instead. I am hesitant to pay the first semester's fees now, cause we might have to defer the admit due to personal reasons. The course is for 2022 September. Therefore, I need some advice as to how much should I pay right now?

Should you pay the non-refundable deposit or the full first semester's fees before applying for a study permit?

Pay Full fees but check with the university if you can defer. Some university gives you one year to defer. Also chk with university if you defer and there is a fee increase can you pay the difference

Gautham Ram yes they do refund in case of rejections! But you must not have started online classes from back home! Then you get the full refund

I suggest you to pay full fees that money will be deposited to your wife's student account before applying for visa.
