My wife and I landed at Toronto on June 29th, 2023. Our COPR expires on July 13th. The overall immigration process was pretty smooth and the officer told us that PR cards will be delivered at the address in 3-4 months. However, I am little confused about one thing that the immigration officer told us that your current visa is no longer valid and if we have to leave the country we need to call IRCC and get a new visa. What does that mean?

Why your entry visa stops working after you land as a PR (and what to do if you leave before your PR card arrives)
the visa printed on your passport is a one-time entry visa.. once you land in Canada, it is no longer valid. You'll use your PR card to enter the country from now onwards!
if you leave the country before you get the PR card, In that case, you'll need to get PRTD(PR traveling Document). In other words, a new single entry visa!
