My mother entered today on supervisa. However, the officer stamped her passport with date of 6 months. Does this she needs to leave canada by this date? Passport is not nearing expiry date or anything and if supervisa is valid for 5 years whats the point of this date?

Why a Super Visa entry stamp shows a 6-month date even though the visa itself is valid for years

Well I don’t know about supervisa status how long you can stay continuously!!! But for normal visa who have 10 years issued can stay upto 6 months continuously!!! After that you can cross US border by road and then enter back in Canada and stay again for next 6 months!!

I think you also posted in the other group. This date means she either must leave Canada or apply for extension before this date.
