Kubeir Kamal sir, Good evening, my mother-in-law landed in canada on july 1st on a visitor visa and will be completing her 6 months in canada by jan 1st. But we recently traveled to US for 3 days via land border, while returning to canada border officer asked show her return ticket which i showed which is on dec 25th, in this case is she not allowed to stay in canada as we crossed the land border on nov 26th, shouldn't be 6months from the recent reentry to canada again started? Thanks in advance.

Does a short land-border trip to the US reset your 6-month visitor stay clock in Canada?

Travel to US and back is not considered as exiting Canada. So her original period of stay applies and she must exit or extend before the end of the original period of 6 months stay
