Take the certificate from the Bank as the officer mentioned. Personal declaration isn't enough because Bank has the right to deny you to have access to the fund. Talk to the bank together with your spouse and they'll guide you the best possible solution.
Akshat Bhardwaj Maybe they can add you in the same account, then issue the letter mentioning both of you have access to the fund?
Akshat Bhardwaj its very strange that he did not accept proof of funds when you both are part of the application.

Whats the problem in joining your name and making it a joint account?
