I have got an admit at Dalhousie University for the masters (Macs) program for fall 22, and i haven't yet filed for visa, am revolving around the loan process, it still gonna take another 10 days for getting my 1st year fee and GIC receipt. And as of now IRCC's student visa processing is minimum 11 weeks. Is it fine to file now as the deadline for deferral is August 1st and later cannot be made. Please suggest the SDS category, should i defer for Jan 23 or file the visa, my profile is 2011 nit, IT graduated , With 10+ years experience in software field.

Fall intake is the biggest intake, and more people will work on a study permit visa. They will process it faster, so don't defer. Try to apply in another 10 days.

Go for it. Collect docs fill visa. Wait till aug before deadline one day or two decide. 60 to 70 days it takes generally.
