The embassy takes care of this. You need to apply through BLS which handles the processing activities for the embassy. Check BLS India International. Or something similar. They do not keep the current passport, it needs to be submitted but is returned with the new passport. Existing visas in the old passport are still valid. Sambhav Gupta that’s what I said they will cancel old passport then only you will get new one. But they also mention visas are valid. That means you have to travel with both passports if you wanted to use a visa that is stamped on old one. If you don’t have any visa or visa expired on that then basically you just put it in your cabinet for rest of your life

If you are renewing yes they will return back your old passport. It says this passport is cancelled but the visas remain valid. Check on BLS site, similar to applying pcc just different kind documents

I gave my passport in dec end still haven’t received. It takes close to 2-3 months. Process depends on your location
