I have never served in the military and I am not exempt either. Not sure what I should provide for this request. I am from Iran, and I left my country more than 10 years ago based on international student exemption for military services and I deposited a bond (approximately $12,000) in order to be allowed to travel abroad for study. Are you able to get a document from your country that basically says you never served and aren't required to serve anymore after they collected your deposit? I think if you get something like that with a good explanation letter, you should be fine! One… See more
Confused because in your post you said that you were not exempt but then went on to say that you left based on an exemption for military services. Surely they want proof of this exemption?
