Hi I was reading somewhere that Student Visas are getting rejected due to long study gaps. Is it true? If not then what should we do to ensure that visa isn't rejected. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2014 and post that I have a 8 year experience. I am looking at a 8months (two semester) post graduate certificate program.

Visa rejection has nothing to do with study gap but many Colleges don't accept more than 5 years of gap. So better search college that will accept 8 years gap. I also have 8 years gap and I got accepted at St Clair , but my visa was rejected due to a d… See more

But some colleges are not accepting applications with more than 5 year study gap. They are not concerned with if the gap is work ex or not

study gaps are fine as long as u fill it with work ex. But your future college course should make sense in SOP
