CanadaPermanent Resident1Hi,i received a letter from IRCC requiring me to submit a new police certificate from Japan in 60days,unfortunately i didn’t noticed that the document is expired when i submitted it,now securing a police cert from Japan will take 2months,if i submit the proof of my police certificate application and attached an explanation letter,will they process my papers without it?or do i have to wait to receive my new police certificate?

Shreya Chatterjee I would suggest to call IRCC and clarify. Ideally they do accept the expired letter also if you didn’t go to that country since you are in Canada. But, if they’ve asked for it so pls do apply as you may grt within 60 days timeline. Else, submit… See more

Anjali Yadav yes i did. Can i just upload the proof of my renewal application of PCC and attached an explanation letter instead of waiting for it for 2months?
Does it come with expiry? Usually if you have not visited that country since the PCC was issued, you don’t need it again
