CanadaPermanent Resident1Hi, I arrived Canada in April and when I reached to Service Canada for getting the Social Insurance Number they replied some issue with my application as the immigration officer forgot to save my information. Later, they scanned my all documents and sent to the ircc. Now, I have been waiting for almost 6 weeks and there have not logged into my application. Moreover, customer care can see my file but they can’t tell when it will be done. If you could help me somehow or provide me some information please let me know. Thanks

My son had the same issue. Immigration officer stamped his COPR but didn’t confirm in the system (talk about inefficiency ) and we got to know it while applying his SIN. You should’ve gone to the immigration in your POE with your copr and passport the… See more
You can try 2 things- go to pearson airport and see if they allow you to talk to cbsa , second find the address of ircc at etobicoke and see if they entertain. Both can be done only if you are in GTA
Similar thing happened with my spouse's cousin who came on a closed Work Permit (1st week of May), he went back to Pearson Airport 2/3 days later and got it sorted out.
