Hi, I am trying to file for my PR under the Express Entry (Foreign Skilled Worker) category. I am in Canada, on PGWP and working a valid NOC job full-time. I just wanted to ask - the proof of funds, do I have to show the $13400 in my account or can I do without that too? I was going to go for the STEM draws based on my experience back home. And if I do have to show it, do they look at it over a period of 6 months before ITA? Or how does it work? Please do help me here, their definition of a “valid job offer” is very confusing.

For the fsw category you have to show the funds in your account, i didn't have the funds in my account for 6 months tho, i just got a fixed deposit around a month before i applied and just uploaded a bank letter detailing my account balances along with the FD receipt, got my PR approval without any issues.

Ribhav Sharma yes, i read somewhere online that FD is best if you don't have funds for 6 months and it worked for me, just make sure the bank letter details everything though, both your savings account balance and your fd account balance.

Jashan Dihot it means we don't need to show 6 months old funds of 13,757 CAD in our account at time of ITA ? We can just show 2-3 before applying for our PR file ?

Tanya Bhatia yes we have 3 months to apply after the ITA so i got a 10 lakh Fixed deposit in my bank account in India and used that as a proof.

Jashan Dihot so you got the FD after the ITA? Where did you get this FD from, here or India? By FD do you mean GIC?

Valid job offer is LMIA - So PGWP is not LMIA You have to show funds. Past 6 month average bank balance
