But my application has been on assessment since 17th December (54 days in assessment). I haven't received any additional document request or anything from them. Why would they be taking this much time in assessment? Please advise. Thank you

You dont have to worry. My profile took 55 days exactly. And when you applied there was a holiday season in between. I think your will get approved in a week or maximum two. The timeline they suggest is 60 days.
