Hi guys, Context: I applied for Sep 2022 intake but had to defer to May 2023 intake. Received PPR afterwards. So, after landing in Canada, how is proof of funds evaluated at the port of entry by the immigration officer? What would happen if I had withdrawn the funds already? Since my documents are old (bank statements), do I need to get fresh bank statements prior to traveling to Canada?

Krutika Desai, thank you. I'm only concerned about the bank statements. Other documents are fine. What do you think are the chances that a officer would check the bank statements?

Don’t take the risk - don’t withdraw your funds - you don’t know about coincidences- if you have shown funds, keep it in your account until you reach there

Keep ur GIC, tuition fee receipts handy..sometimes they check bank statements as well.. Other times they don't.. Best to carry updated statements

I landed in September. They checked literally nothing. Just passport.
