Hi friends, I have completed MBBS and M.D. General Medicine. Initially I worked in a medical college in India as an Assistant Professor for some time, then became a Consultant Specialist Physician in India in a private hospital for majority of the past years. Just recently 6 months ago I have come to another country and became a Junior Specialist Physician(i accepted the lower grade because the salary was good). I have two NOCs that fit my job descriptions- but i dont know which to choose- 31100(Specialist in Clinical Medicine) which i was for many years or 31102(General Practitioner) because I am junior Specialist Physician currently now? Kindly help if any of you can guide me, especially other doctors in the group please help… Also what will happen if i choose a wrong NOC, will the IRCC read my work reference letter and suggest me a correct NOC or they will reject me? Choosing between NOC 31100 (Specialist) and 31102 (General Practitioner) for a doctor with mixed roles
They sometimes suggest you the correct NOC - but it is at officer’s discretion and a rare event.
Go with General Practitioner to be safe. Also you need to do your ECA with MCC.
