Hi everyone! Due to some reason, my wife's work permit extension was refused in Nov, 2023 and her worker status also expired. Since then, we have applied for restoration of status and WP extension but haven't heard back yet. We have to urgently travel to India due to a family emergency and I was wondering if there would be any hiccups for my wife to re-enter Canada if we do the following: 1. I come back to Canada before her and send her the original WP by post to India once we receive it in the mail here. 2. She applies for TRV from India by uploading this new WP. 3. She travels back to Canada with the WP and TRV. Any constructive advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks! Edit: Called IRCC and confirmed that the applicant should NOT leave Canada once restoration of status application is under process. If anyone reads this, don't follow what the comments say.

Vijay Kumar Upadhyay thanks for your input! Would there be any problem in obtaining the TRV from India, given the work permit will be mailed to the address in Canada?

Sheetal Vishnu even in the case of work permit extension, issued to a Canadian address? This is not the first permit but an extension. Thanks!
Tejraj Shah you mean to say it's better to leave Canada once we receive the approval email?
That would work provided she gets a new WP and her TRV is valid
