Hi Everyone, Can someone please share their experience landing at Montreal airport for the first time as FSW PR. I'm getting really good deal with Emirates that transits via Montreal to Toronto but the layover time is just 2.5 hours which I'm pretty sure that I'll miss the next flight. Montreal to Toronto leg is operated by Air Canada. I called Emirates Karachi office today to confirm if they can accommodate in the next available flight if I miss the flight because of immigration but they denied and said you'll have to pay the charges. Did someone had similar experience? I want to be sure before I book. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I took a similar path i.e. Delhi - Montreal - Toronto, but the flight was operated by Air Canada in both the legs with a similar layover time approx 2.5 hrs. Malik Asad Yeah that is True for me I had layover of 3.5 hours. I had booked karachi to dubai to Montreal to Toronto. I reached boarding lounge at least half an hour before the flight boarding time for toronto. I sent a webform to IRCC on Jan 23, I had landed on Jan 20 coz the immigration didn't take my address and online link they gave wasn't working. I received PR card on Feb 23rd.

Sai Kiran Rao thank you very much for the detailed answer. I've seen some posts which says that at Montreal airport, officers don't take your Canada address. Instead they hand over some form to fill up online and people have not received their cards for long time. Is that true?

Malik Asad I am not sure what's the process now, but in our case we weren't asked to provide a local address. For the PR card, you need to call IRCC and let them know your local address. We received our card in 30 days after updating the address.

Emirates and Doha i thibk have this issue. Check Emirates if there are direct flights from uae to toronto. Also, did you try turkish?

Ur layover in Montreal is very less. Check Saudia fares from either khi-Jed-Toronto or via Riyadh.
