Can I apply for renewal from within Canada after the end of my studies or do I return to my home country and then apply. Will it have any impact on my pgwp?

You friend can apply in Canada. It will take 4 weeks to get it renewed for normal application and 10 days for tatkal. I recently renewed my passport. Your friend can renew even before His/her study permit expires. Contact BLS for more info. I applied t… See more
Process might be hectic than in India. So, make sure you have enough time for renewal.
You can get it renewed by visiting indian High commission.
