CanadaPermanent Resident1Hi All, URGENT QUERY Asking for a friend, he received the portal 2 email with the credential’s , but he had to travel to USA and will be back in 8 days. The portal email says to submit the details (picture) in 7 days. Will it be ok to reply back in 9 days. Or he would need to return to Canada before 7 days. Please suggest

How he plans to return to Canada, once you recieve confirmation of PR, your current TRV becomes invalid. So must delay the process by replying to that email with timeline of your US trip.But, this may delay your PR process
The portal 1 email reply about the travel plans would've been a better choice. They do keep the processing on hold till you're back.
If they clearly state “7 days” it should be within “7 days”. Taking any longer would be jeopardizing your application.
