Hi all, Please help I'm moving to Canada as a foreign worker, My company is providing me some relocation bonus. Can my company wire transfer the relocation bonus to my international account which I opened from India? I see scotia bank has this condition "Money sent to fund your Scotiabank account in Canada must come from your own bank account in your name and from country of residence entered in the application."
Full guide
Can your employer wire a relocation bonus to your Canadian newcomer account before you land?
Nimit Patel yes i know, but my company agreed to wire me relocation bonus before I land so in that case will scotia bank accept the wire money from my company to my account before i land in canada and activate account? I spoke to one of the customer care executive he said that bank can accept money from third parties but you can't withdraw until you activate account
Jagdeep Singh yes that's true to activate withdrawing $ service you needed to be present in the bank in person or you can ask them to transfer money into an Indian account but I believe your company won't be ready for that due to Tax purposes
Usually the relocation amount is paid along with the first pay or you can ask your company to issue a pay cheque. You have to activate your checking or saving account in person as per my understanding
They said we will wire money after deducting taxes
did you get the work permit or are you waiting?
