Hi all! I’m traveling to Canada from Delhi with COPR. Can I book emirates that has 3.5 hrs layover at Dubai airport? Will that be a problem if I travel via third country? Since the destination mentioned on COPR is Toronto.

First landing with COPR: layovers and indirect flights are fine — what actually matters
Check Air France, two suitcases were allowed and we had a decent layover in Paris. Just make sure your entire route is on the same airline. All the best to you. Enjoy the experience. Also, keep a local Canadian address handy with you. They will ask you for an address to send your PR card too. Ideally give a friend's address and not any Airbnb's. Also, try and get your SIN from the airport itself after your immigration is done.
Riyanshi Arora you will get Boeing 777 from india to dubai then Airbus 380 from dubai to Toronto..you don’t have to take direct flight.and A380 is better than 777 for long journeys.. if the layover is less than 18 hours at dubai then you don’t need a transit visa. 😊
I had a layover in Abu Dhabi and have previously travelled with layovers in Dubai without requiring any transit visa. Only certain countries require a transit visa for layovers.
Mohit Sharma you’re right. I understand that visa isn’t required. I’m traveling for the first time to Canada..I just hope taking an indirect flight won’t be an issue.
Riyanshi Arora No, I travelled with a layover while travelling to Canada for the first time with COPR and had no issues at all.
Priya Patel I’ll be traveling to Canada for the first time. Do we need to take a direct flight while traveling with COPR?
Riyanshi Arora won’t be an issue for sure
