Can anyone guide on what's the next steps to get my passport stamped again or how to make sure that my PR card is updated with my new passport ? Any dos and don'ts will be of much help to me

Check your PR card. It will not have any reference to your passport or its expiry. You do not need to do anything.

PR card is an independent document. It does not need to be bound with a passport.
