You can leave the job but it could take months for you to get PPR so better stick with it until a decision is made on your application. Having said that, even if you leave it’s not gonna impact your application in any way because you were working on the day of your AOR and that is what matters.
Harman Kaur usually it's online checks like company's website etc. but they could check with your employer whether you did really work there or not. Even though you leave the company that won't affect you since you worked there and employer would confirm the same.
Harman Kaur you don’t have to. They call/email the employers only in very rare cases where they’re unable to verify your employment through other channels like LinkedIn etc., or when they need to do extra scrutiny.
