Hello! Kubeir Kamal would be grateful if you can provide any advice. I landed in Canada on work permit after a PhD from US last year. I received my ITA in March and applied for PR on April 6, 2023, and received AoR on the same day. I came back to Pakistan in May, and got married on May 20. On May 15, I had already raised a webform that I am getting married and will be providing the relevant documents soon (I have not provided them yet as my wife's passport is still being renewed). I received a specific email from IRCC on May 25, that my webform/documents have been received and added. HOWEVER, today, I received an email that my PR application has been approved, and I need to confirm if I am in Canada currently or not (which I am not). QUESTION: Is it still possible to add my wife to my application? Or is the only route possible is to sponsor her once my CoPR is received? Any guidance woul

Marrying after AOR but before landing, and your PR application gets approved before your spouse is added

Add your wife first. Change in marital status is to be informed at this stage. If you don’t, it accounts for misrepresentation and you might not be able to sponsor your wife.
