CanadaPermanent Resident1Hello, I want to check if it is okay to travel to US for 3-4 days while PR is in final stages of processing? I am in Canada on work permit and have uploaded my photo and other details on the PR portal. I haven't got my E-COPR yet. I intend to travel in 2 weeks from now. Upon checking with IRCC helpline, they are asking me to send a mail to IRCC to hold off processing my COPR and enter back on work permit. Has anyone tried this in the past? Thanks for your help!

If you haven’t got your Ecopr, you cannot travel! Because during the process of Ecopr you testified your physical presence in Canada. Now if you leave it, they will have a record of leaving Canada which will be contradictory of what you testified earli… See more
If the US travel is critical or emergency, you can do as the agent said. You can ask them to hold the ecopr process and reprocess once you are back. Otherwise better to wait till you get PR card.
