The Express Entry tie-breaking rule explained: what the cutoff date and time actually decide
Samanvitha Ravi sir you are not getting my point here. My NOC falls in STEM and there are many 481ers with STEM NOC who didn't get picked up. Apparently it's a flaw in IRCC's system where they only picked 481s from profiles of March, April 2023. Many 481ers from July onwards till Nov were not picked. They might have published the wrong cut off date. All of us who suffered raised web forms and contacted IRCC, they don't have any control over this
Mohammad ALi then your NOC might not have been in the list of picked NOCs. If your NOC was on the list and still you received no invitation, you can contact IRCC. Can be a system glitch too. Or else schedule an appointment with Kubeir and speak to him. This is nothing to do with tie breaking rule. The reasons seems different here.
When multiple candidate has the same scores, tie breaking rule is used which a set date and time. All the candidates who submitted their profiles before the set date and time will get invite and the other candidates who submitted after the tie breaking rule will not be invited although everyone would have had the same scores.
Mohammad ALi tie breaker applies only to the lowest score. If the 200 profiles meets the cut off date then they might have a lower crs score than the lowest score invited or there might be other criteria. Or else itβs a guaranteed invite.!
Samanvitha Ravi no, latest STEM draw's lowest CRS was 481 with a cutoff date as 25th Nov. But not all 481ers were picked even though they submitted profile before Nov 25. I am one of them
Its when the date and time the profile was submitted is used to determine which candidate gets an invite when theybhave the same score
If two candidates have the same score, the tie-breaking rule is used to select one.
