Hello everyone, I have a big decision to make and need some thoughts. My wife is in Canada right now under closed permit. Her current crs score is 450. She will complete 2 years this October and if she improves her IELTS, then the score would shoot to 490 or 500 maybe. Will it be the right decision for me to move to Canada now, believing that we have chances to get PR under stem draws this year ?? Is it worth it ?

Joining a spouse in Canada on a closed work permit: stamping, port-of-entry permits, and LMIA ties explained
Khanna Taruna First,You will get a work permit at Port of entry. Your visa stamped will be outside. I traveled after 3Months of visa stamping. Second, with a closed work permit with LMIA, you are in bond to work with the same employer, If you switched the company you must need another LMIA.
Karthikeyan Anbalagan !I'm not presently in Canada.Does that mean of I have applied for work permit then in my home country I will get visa stamping and work permit after reaching Canada. Correct me if it's wrong please
Khanna Taruna I'm not aware of any timelines brother but we travelled only after 3 months post visa stamping. Also no idea about changing employer while working under closed permit.
Khanna Taruna no, at the port of entry. If your visa is for 2 years then when you land, you will get a permit at immigration for 2 years the day you enter.
There is large scale job loss and hiring freeze at the moment.. make your move wisely..
Karthikeyan Anbalagan ! Does work permit comes along with visa stamping.
Chanchal Juyal ! I'm an outlander right now.
