My AOR is February 3, 2023, and from the tracker everything is complete except background checks. It has been that way since July, 2023. I have contacted IRCC several times through phone call, all they say is be patient. So I took the extra step to contact them via an MP, and got a different response today. "Your PR application was received on February 3, 2023 under the PNP Program; Security checks is in process, it is done through third party, as such IRCC has no control over it ; All other assessments have been completed". Question is, what really happens in security checks that can't be completed in 5 months?

Manthan Goswami 10 months for just background checks, that's alot. Did you or your spouse have military or government history?
Michael Oam not at all. Maybe it went on a backlog or something.
My friend got everything from Aor to confirmation in 2 months
Mine took almost 10 months.. ( I also got the same reply. )
