Hello All, Need advice on one concern we have regarding the ielts listening test. My wife sat for ilets listening test hosted by idp. It was a paper based test. For listening test , the test center played audio from one common audio device for candidates upto 12-15 sitting in one room without headsets. Due to this my wife was not able to concentrate on the audio files played for listening test and hence she was not able to score good. We wanted to know is it as per the process of paper based test that listening will be done through a common audio device. Or do we have the rights to get headset for this and can we file a complaint with idp. Appreciate your response here.

IELTS paper-based listening: headsets are centre-dependent — check before you book
I gave IDP IELTS computer based. We were provided headphones. I believe the audio plays on common speakers during the paper based test
Only few centres are providing headphones which is of course not good ..like India in every centre you will get headphones.
During the paper base test they provide the Handset to individuals.you can write an email to British council
It depends upon the location but yes it does happen. Some centre do not provide headsets.
I always got headset when I gave paper based ielts with ILTTS Mississauga.
You have to check prior booking test centre for this option.
I gave in Kitchener, Trios it was on headphones.
