I am asking this because my PGWP also expires on 10th Dec 2024 and I got only 2 year 2 month validity. Can some one please be able to clarify this .

You can renew it under many other circumstance like change in particulars(married etc), looks and permanent address, or if the old passport is damaged or lost etc....only then before an year you can renew it
You can apply when less than a year left. So technically you can apply for renewal on 11th December 2023
You can renew your passport anytime, select reason change of appearance
