Hello all. I got my ITA recently and got part of my funds on my Canada savings account part of funds are in my husband's account in India. However, this is not a joint account. My husband is listed as my Dependent in my application and will be coming to Canada. IRCC mentions, You may be able to count money in an account under your spouse name only, but you must prove you have access to the money. Question: how can I prove that I have access to funds in his account? Will a letter of explanation or an affidavit from my husband be considered for this? Thanks,

Proof of funds sitting in your spouse's solo account after an ITA: how to show you have access
Lalindran Sriskandarajah hi thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it is not possible since my husband is in India and i need to physically be present at the bank to convert his account to a joint account
Your husband can write a letter by mentioning that he is letting you to have access to funds under his bank ac num for immigration purpose.
Easiest way is to make you a joint account holder if that's possible in your case.
