If a refused visitor visa application was filed through an agent, and that agent won't share the GCKey username and password, you are not stuck with them.
What the group advised:- A refusal doesn't lock you into the original agent's account. You can create a brand-new GCKey and submit a completely new application on your own — the old account and its credentials become irrelevant.
- Have your UCI or application number handy if you have it, since it can help IRCC match records, but it isn't a blocker if you don't.
- Use the current IRCC online portal for visitor visa applications. One member reported their mother's visitor visa being approved in roughly 20 days after applying directly through the newer portal themselves.
This approach lets you regain full control of the application without depending on an agent who is unresponsive or unwilling to hand over access.
