A common profile in the group: a working professional with years of IT experience refused for a Project Management study permit. The advice for the next attempt:
- Rework the SOP first. With 15+ years of experience, an officer needs a convincing explanation of why you're returning to study — address the 'why this course, why now, why Canada' and your intent to return/settle credibly.
- Strengthen proof of funds. If liquid cash is limited, members documented other assets — e.g. gold shown through a CA valuation report — to demonstrate sufficient funds.
- Check your SDS/non-SDS routing. If only the first term's fee was paid, the file may fall under non-SDS; make sure your stream and documents are consistent.
- Reapply with the gaps fixed rather than requesting reconsideration — a fresh, stronger application is the usual path.
