What group members advised:- Send an Expression of Interest (EOI) to provinces that accept candidates without a job offer or local ties — Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, and Vernon (Yukon) were named as options that don't require a job offer or a link to the province. Attending an information session for the relevant provincial stream can also open a pathway.
- Double-check your NOC code on your Express Entry profile. One commenter flagged that their profile was still showing an old NOC code from past experience — make sure your profile reflects your current or most recent occupation classification, since this affects which PNP streams you're eligible for.
- Target PNP streams that specifically cater to your occupation and years of experience, rather than applying broadly, since provincial nomination streams are occupation-specific.
