Historical: this thread uses NOC 2016 codes (3012 = registered nurses). NOC codes were overhauled in late 2022 — confirm the current equivalent code and each province's live stream requirements before acting.A nurse with NOC 3012 asked which provinces were in demand for their occupation. The thread produced two concrete leads:
- Nova Scotia: a member reported a successful nomination with NOC 3012. This was the strongest signal in the thread — a same-NOC applicant who had recently received a Nova Scotia provincial nomination and recommended others with the code try that province.
- New Brunswick and Newfoundland: apply through their virtual information sessions. For these provinces, the advice was to register for the provinces' virtual sessions, which at the time served as the entry point for expressing interest as a healthcare candidate.
- Start from demand, not preference. The overall approach members modelled: rather than picking a province first, find where your NOC is actively being nominated (fellow applicants' results are useful evidence) and direct your application effort there.
