Applicants sometimes have work history with several employers but only need to formally document one of them.
What group members advised:- If one employer alone gives you 3+ years of qualifying experience under the NOC you're claiming, you generally don't need reference letters from your other past employers as well.
- List the other employment in your personal history section of the application rather than trying to produce a matching reference letter for each one.
- Don't try to force a duplicate-style letter from a second employer just because you have one from the first — it isn't required if the qualifying employer's letter already meets the experience threshold.
The general principle: reference letters need to support the specific claim you're making (which employer, which NOC, how many years); employment you aren't claiming points for can simply be listed as personal history.
