For roles like project coordinator or business support consultant, the recurring group advice was:
- Match the NOC to your duties, not your title. A 'project coordinator' or 'consultant' title can map to different NOCs depending on what you actually do — use the duties in your reference letter to choose.
- If your CRS is below recent cut-offs, raise it rather than wait. Members pointed to improving your IELTS/CELPIP as the fastest lever, and to checking whether an additional credential helps.
- Distance/online credentials can still count. One member's online PG certificate (MITSDE, Pune) was recognised by WES as a PG Diploma — worth an ECA if you have such qualifications.
- Consider PNPs / a study route if a federal draw looks out of reach — check each province's website for eligibility, since criteria differ.
