An inland applicant (moved to Canada in late 2021 after working in Australia, applied for PR from within Canada) shared a clean Express Entry timeline:
- ITA — January 11. Invitation to apply received.
- AOR — January 22. Full application submitted, acknowledgement received.
- Medicals — February 14. Routine blood and urine tests.
- COPR approval — May 24, followed the next day by the PR portal email.
- Portal steps — May 26. Uploaded photo and confirmed Canadian address.
- eCOPR — June 2. Virtual confirmation of PR, no landing interview.
The detail worth knowing: a member asked whether "portal mail" means a passport request letter (PPR). It doesn't — the applicant explained that
inland applicants don't get a passport request. Instead of sending your passport for a visa stamp (the outland flow), you receive a PR-portal invitation, upload a photo and address, and receive eCOPR electronically.
Total: roughly 4.5 months from AOR to eCOPR — consistent with the six-month service standard for Express Entry at the time.
Historical note: this is a single data point from one processing period; Express Entry inland timelines vary with IRCC workload.
