A candidate's new Express Entry profile (CRS 426) was marked ineligible two days after creation, and they asked whether it was a glitch and whether to recreate it. The thread pointed to self-diagnosable causes:
- Re-check the education entries first. The first suggestion was that education details (levels, credentials, ECA linkage) are a common source of instant ineligibility — verify each entry matches your ECA report exactly.
- Check the settlement-funds declaration. The poster couldn't recall a proof-of-funds section; a member confirmed the profile does ask how much money you'll bring to Canada, and a missed or too-low figure can make an FSW profile ineligible. If you don't have a qualifying job offer or CEC eligibility, funds below the threshold sink the profile.
- Recreating the profile is allowed. Another member who saw their profile show CRS 0 said they planned to withdraw/revoke the invalid profile and create a new one. The thread treated recreation as the normal fix once the underlying data error is found — there was no suggestion of being blocked for doing so.
- Fix the cause before recreating. The consensus flow: identify what made the profile ineligible (education, funds, work-history coding), correct it, then submit a fresh profile — recreating with identical data will just fail again.
