Can't register for the IRCC PR tracker after AOR? Two things to check

Step-by-Step

For CEC (inland) applicants who have passed AOR but still can't get the PR application tracker to register them, even after 40-45 days:

  1. Try adding a blank/space character after your first name when entering your name into the tracker registration form. Small formatting mismatches between how your name was entered on your application and how you type it into the tracker can block registration.

  2. Check that your permanent UCI (Unique Client Identifier) is updated in your profile. The tracker requires your permanent UCI (rather than a temporary one) to grant access — if this hasn't been updated yet on your file, registration will fail regardless of how you enter your name.

If tracker registration keeps failing after AOR, try the name-formatting adjustment first, then confirm your UCI status; if the UCI itself hasn't been finalized yet, you may simply need to wait longer.

Dos, Don'ts & Tips

  • Tip: If the PR tracker won't register you, try adding a blank character after your first name — formatting mismatches can block registration.
  • Tip: Tracker access requires your permanent UCI to be updated in your profile; without it, registration won't work no matter what.
